Agent — A model-driven runtime that processes input and may call capabilities. Managed Agent — An Agent configured and run through GroundForge. It may also be described as an internal Agent. External Agent — An Agent running in your application and connected through the SDK. Channel — A message adapter connected to Twilio, Mailgun, Slack, or a webhook client. MCP provider — A registered Model Context Protocol server. The CLI resource name is providers. Capability — A discovered tool, resource, resource template, prompt, or related operation. Discovery — A read of an Agent or MCP provider’s current capability definitions. Drift — A capability added, changed, or removed between discovery snapshots. Observation — A runtime capability mismatch, such as an unknown capability being called or a known capability missing from the currently available runtime capabilities. Gateway — Rules for capabilities on one Agent or MCP provider. Operator Task — A human approval or rejection request created by a Review action. Trace — The timeline for one Agent request. Span — One meaningful step in a Trace, such as model work, a Gateway decision, a tool call, or Channel delivery. Event — A callback, lifecycle, or control-plane record. Organization — The top-level administrative boundary. Workspace — The operating boundary for Agents, Channels, MCP providers, Gateways, credentials, Traces, and analytics. Service Account — A non-human identity used by an Agent, automation, or integration.
